Who We Are

VoteCD5Blue.org is a civic engagement project dedicated to strengthening participation and community involvement across Texas’s 5th Congressional District. Our work focuses on connecting residents, supporting voter access, and building long‑term organizing capacity in a district that is growing and changing rapidly.

Why TX‑05 Needs Long‑Term Civic Infrastructure

TX‑05 is a district in transition. It includes a diverse urban slice of Dallas County, fast‑growing exurban communities like Kaufman, and long‑established rural areas. These communities are evolving quickly, but civic participation has not kept pace. Many residents — especially new movers — are not yet connected to local networks or civic processes.

VoteCD5Blue.org exists to bridge that gap by supporting year‑round engagement, community education, and leadership development.
