Legacy Statement

VoteCD5Blue.org was created to build lasting civic infrastructure in Texas’s 5th Congressional District — work that extends beyond any single person or election cycle. This project exists to strengthen participation, develop new community leaders, and support the next generation of Texans who will carry this work forward.

Funded by the political committee Pat Hicks for SDEC, this organization is designed to grow, evolve, and eventually be handed to younger leaders who reflect the future of TX‑05. Over the next two years, our goal is to establish a sustainable foundation that can be transferred to emerging organizers who will continue the work, serve their communities, and potentially represent TX‑05 on the SDEC or in other leadership roles.

This is not just a project. It is a legacy — built to last, built to serve, and built to be passed on.
